An Idea:

In the fall of 2007, owner Brendan Burke visualized Wild Rover on a NYC subway ride. In between reading Malcolm Gladwells The Tipping Point and listening to the Pogues cover of the classic tune Wild Rover on his iPod. Frustrated with the lack of high quality apparel that offered a proper representation of Irish and Irish American culture, Wild Rover was born.

The Concept:

In the vein of changing the look of the stereotypical Celtic apparel that has plagued he market in the past, Wild Rover establishes its place as a hybrid of American Irish and urban culture. Most importantly, Wild Rover unifies and promotes Irish culture through fresh designs and modern apparel.

The Movement:

•    To create wearable art through the fusion of these different cultures.
•    Diisrupt the norm by encouraging others to examine the current void.
•    Surround yourself with others who are driven and know how to make it happen.
•    Leave no room for self-doubt, but learn from the mistakes that will happen.
•    Pursue what you love to do with reckless abandonment.
•    Work hard, look good, live well and drink it down till it’s gone.
